Is it a good idea to buy RAM from apple? I mean does APPLE uses like the SONY of ram?

Aren't most of them the same?

Where would you buy from?

Also, is the 1gig, safe to add? Does it void your warranty and stuff?

Apple charges too much for RAM, they just use Samsung, Kingston, etc...normal stuff

Never, ever buy RAM direct from Apple.

They don't use any better stuff than anyone esle, but they will charge you as if it was gold plated.

I use www.crucial.com and have done for years... never let me down.
