Hi all,
I have this Griffin iMic, and the problem is that the Sound System Preference says "No configurable options for this device" or something like that when I have the iMic plugged in. If you go to the Griffin site, it says that the selection for the Mic comes from the SPEECH panel. Speech recongnition works fine. Um, OK, except this app I'm using expects the SOUND panel to select the input, and since the iMic doesn't work with the Sound panel, hence, I get no audio input. Ideas on how to fix this?

Not sure what to say. On my G4 the Sound control panel Output tab lists

iMic USB audio system

and lets you adjust balance.

On the Input tab it shows

iMic USB audio system

and lets you adjust input level.

I've had mine for almost two years. It acted up just once. I think I just had to disconnect it and plug it in again to have it recognized properly.

Are you using a USB hub? Try a different connection. Mine is plugged into the keyboard.
Happy owner of a new 15" Al PB.

No, I'm not using it with a hub. I read on the support forums for my radio show that Quicktime 6.4 might be the culprit.

EDIT: Just tried it on my 15" w/QT 6.2. Still no good.
