Hi
I don't know anything about video chips. How is the Radeon 9200 compared with the former 7500 ? And how does it compare to the NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 that is on the Powerbook 12" ? Any benchmarks somewhere ?

Thanks

I noticed that the ATI Radeon 9200 comes with AGP 4x which seems cool since the old one was AGP 2X ...

Here's a PDF comparing the latest chipsets. Looks like the 9600 definitely packs more of a wallop than the 9200. However, it would appear that it beats the GFX Go 5200, however some of the 12" AlBook's architectural advantages may compensate. Also, these are PC benchmarks, the chips may peform differently with Mac drivers. ATi typically has the advantage since they've been supporting the Mac longer.

I would expect the G4 iBooks to equal or slightly best the latest TiBook revision. I'm sure BareFeats, MacSpeedZone or one of the Mac mags will post results of more thorough testing once they can get a hold of a test unit...
