We have a clamshell iBook (G3 300MHz, 192MB, OS9.1 and OS X.2) which is showing the following lcd/display problems. Has anyone seen this before and any idea of what requires fixing? We have tried lengthy searching on this but have been unable to find anything - maybe not searching with correct keywords. Apologies for the poor description of the effect.

LCD bright and desktop looks fine. Once a window is opened there is horizontal streaking of differing colours from the edge of the opened window or at the edge of the display, either as lines or larger blocks. The window title bar an scroll bars appear to be _washed out_ and ghostly and have a _green_ tinge.

The display is still bright with no _dark corners_ so we assume the lcd lamp is still ok.

Hoping someone can offer some advice on this.

Thank you.
