I have an iBook 700 which still has 2 1/2 years of AppleCare left.

My question is this: Under normal conditions is there anything that isn't covered? Mainly I am concerned about dead/stuck pixels and the battery. I know that batteries can go quickly but is there a time period for which it is covered? I know I should know the answers but....

I have a 366mhz SE iBook from 2000, and I got a new battery and a new powercord during the last month of my AppleCare--no questions asked.

Unfortunately, I'm suspect dead pixels aren't covered. But it can't hurt to ask!

Apple will replace screens with dead pixels. The general rule is at least 4 dead pixels in the same area to qualify for replacement. Basically, any hardware failure should be covered. However, if you drop it, break it, spill something in it, etc. you're S.O.L.
