So the spacebar on my 17" squeaks now and, while I want to fix it, I don't want to rip my keyboard to shreds. Anyone successfully removed on of their keys (intentionally) and care to tune me in?

I had that some experience on my old 867Mhz, bring it in to the Apple store if you can and they'll fix it for you. Goodluck.

Dont bother going to Apple with this problem.

A trick which also works with noise cpu fans is:

Knitting machine oil.

Yes, thats right and tiny bit of it under the spacebar will do the trick - just be careful as you dont wanna break that sylish keyboard!
Make sure all crap like last week dinner has also been removed ;-)
