Hi,
Somehow I've managed to screw my 15" TiBook royally. I got the 10.2.8 update through the Software Update preference panel, restarted the computer, and now my mouse and my keyboard have stopped working. It starts up fine and goes to the main screen, but niether my trackpad or external mouse are working. I've tried everything to fix it and so far no luck. I tried booting from a cd, but no luck because when i hold the c key it's not going through. Same thing happens when I hold the T key to try to boot in Target disk mode. Also the same when I try to do a safe boot or anything else that involves holding a key down at start up. I have the 10.3 disk in the drive right now and it sounds like it's doing a lot of spinning, and when I try to eject it holding the mouse down at start up that too doesn't work. I was running 10.2.6, 512mb RAM, superdrive. If you have any help or suggestions I'd appreciate it. Thanks,
Tanner

Hey,
Thanks for the reply. Haven't tried dunking it in water yet, and zapping the PRAM doesn't work because none of the keyboard keys working. How do you reset the open firmware, maybe that'll work.
Thanks,
Tanner

I'll try taking the battery out. Has that been known to fix problems before, I've never heard of that doing anything. If there are any more suggestions I'd love to hear them, this is really driving me crazy.
Thanks,
Tanner

this is really driving me crazy, because try as i might, nothing is working to solve my problem. I currently have the Panther disk in the disk drive, and it sounds like its doing a lot of spinning, but I can't figure out how to get it out or get anything unfrozen. I've tried everything, including pushing the reset button under the keyboard, all kinds of key combinations, trying to boot into firewire disk mode, booting from a cd, taking the battery out, etc. Does anyone out there have any suggestions.
Thanks

djjava: Point well taken. However, some people (1)don't want to upgrade; (2)don't have the money to upgrade; (3)still need Jaguar b/c some of the programs they use haven't been updated to Panther yet.
