i have a 512 stick in my ibook, but just yesterday, i click on the info and it says i have 384mb of ram. i know when i installed it, it showed 640.

i take everything apart, and reinstall my ram. back to 640, but today i check again, and it is back to 384!!!

what gives!

any advice?
ibook 900 12.1" combo 640mb =)
powerbook 1.33 15" 768mb =P

Check the contacts on the RAM module and the RAM bank. It's unlikely but there could be corrosion. Other than that your module could be going bad.
