I've finally decided to make the switch from PC to Mac. I'm selling my Fujitsu-Siemens p4 2.0GHz laptop, and buying one of the new G4 iBooks.

But here's the question:
How does a G4 iBook compare to my old computer? I'm an architecture student, and I do a great deal of architectural design, 2d drawing and 3d modelling. Is the iBook up for the task? How fast are 1 Mac-GHz compared to 2 Intel-Ghz?

I'm kinda on a limited budget here, but should I save the money for a Powerbook instead?

Make sure that whatever software you are using is available for the Macintosh Operating System.
This signature is obsolete.

Yes, both Archicad and Lightwave are available, so that's ok.
