I just called the store and they said they had them available for sale. I asked if one was on display and they said "That I'm not sure about, I don't think so".

I said Thank you.

Everytime I call them I get those weird things. I mean how can they not know that.

When I called the day the ibook g4 were released I aksed when they would be on display and the person said sometime next week.

Of course I knew this couldnt' be true, because I' sure they would be there for Friday's Panther launch.

I waited till 8 that night, but I think they actually had the new ibooks out all morning not just at night.

It's just funny how little they know or tell us.

Very odd.

You would think that a retail store with a small offering (compared to most retail stores) that it would be easy to tell and keep track of. I've experienced similiar incompetency at the Houston store so don't feel bad -- and it's alot smaller than the SoHo store.

Well I realized that at the Genius Bar, those guys must have to pass some sort of test, but the other employees for the most part are made up of people who could work at staples for all it matters.

Apple would benefit from at least someone like me, a person that loves apple.

If you are like me, you ask people questions thta you already know the answer too just to see if they know the answer.

It's my little test. For the most part the people at the apple store are nice, but very uniformed.

Anyway that answers the phone should know what's in stock and if they are on display. I mean to me, that should be a question they get all the time.

I hate when you ask the obvious question and they look at you funny. Tell me the G3 are the same thing. Well yes and no. I want to see what the new ones look like first thank you.

I wonder if apple employees get a discount. I wonder.
