As far as i know, Apple is using the DVD-recording standard "DVD-r/DVD-rw" in their superdrives.

Most PC:s today are using the standard "DVD+r/DVD+rw".

So... my question is:

Is the combodrive in iBook G4 capable of reading BOTH the DVD-r/DVD-rw AND DVD+r/DVD+rw standards?!

Don't know about the question, but the first statement is, as of the G5s, false. . .

you might want to post in the powerbook forum... i think the drive in the ibook G4 is the same as the one in the latest powerbooks. (if it's any help, my G3 800 mHz ibook can read both DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W.)
