12 inch Rev B.

256 stock, 512 of mem from 18004memory.com.

Just did the panther upgrade. 3 times when waking from sleep the powerbook froze when I clicked Safari from the Dock...the third time I wanted to test the issue so I woke it up, moved around in finder a bit, no problems...clicked on Safari and boom froze, had to do a hard reset...

I have no problems after the reboot...repaired permissions, ran xbench everything is cool..

I'm thinking of a format and reinstall of Panther..

Any ideas?

Try the Archive and Install option or a clean install and you will be much happier then with the Upgrade install.

Yeah I plan on moving some of my files to my 17inch iMac and just formatting it.....

brings me to another question, any way to copy the iphoto library over to a network drive and then bring it back over?

The upgrade on the 17inch iMac went fine it seems.

I believe that iPhoto library folders are portable. That is, you can take your library folder to another computer on an iPod (for example) replace the iPhoto library on that computer with your library, launch iPhoto, and there you go. All your stuff. iTunes music libraries/folders are the same way.

Correct me if I'm wrong here...there is a pref file in ~/Library/ (don't remember full path) for iPhoto albums or something...don't think that matters for the real content though (maybe the file sets library viewing modes or something?).

Same problem with my new 12", once it's going it's fine but trying to launch stuff directly after sleep or restart it just freezes. I have to press restart and sometimes this process needs to be repeated a few times before I get it up and running. Safari launch, internet connecting and Virtual PC seem to cause the most problems. I tried a clean install of Panther to no avail.
