I have a 12inch ibook.

Should I get a new G4 ibook 14 or just get an external monitor, keyboard to make my 500 ibook a desktop.

I figured for about 400 I could update my ibook to be a desktop with an 15 LCD display and keyboard.

For 1300 I can get the g4 ibook 14.

and then I would sell my ibook I think for about 600 because I do have 576 of ram and an external cd-rw burner.

So about 700 to upgrade to ibook 14.

What do you think sounds better?

seriously, what a no brainer. if you have the cash. you will not know its the same computer once you get on the g4 after a 500 mhz... just the video card alone. shoosh, yeah then you can run the spanning hack on the g4 (something a 500mhz ibook cannot handle) and once you get the $$$ again, you can have the ultimate ibook! dual monitors man, just think about that..
