Need password to eject external HD's? Annoyed?

Just right click on the external HD desktop icon. Choose "get info". Make yourself the owner and all options "read & write". Uncheck "Ignore ownership on this volume". You may only have to do this last step; I have not tried that. This advise is for Panther owners only. You may never have to use your password to eject an external HD again.
