I've been reading posts and trying to figure out if the ibook 500 can work with closed lid operation under Mac OS X 10.2.8

From the posts I read it said it could be down after 9.1.

And it soudns like only the powerbook actually shut off the screen, while the ibook keeps the screen on.

I know ths is the powerbook forum, but maybe some of you don't visit the ibook forum and can help me out.

I woud like to hook up my ibook 500 to an exteranl LCD 15 display and use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard with it, but I'm not sure if the computer will run that way.

I don't want to overheat my computer.

The first white iBooks did not support closed lid mode.
