When I put my Powerbook (15" AL) on my desk I only plug in two things - power and my D-Link 7-port USB hub. (Internet is via Airport.)
I've found though, that when I wake the computer from sleep (after I've had it with me all day) and plug in the USB hub, none of the devices work. In fact, the hub itself doesn't even show up in System Profiler. I've tried using a different cable, removing all but one device, and power-cycling the hub, but the only thing that seems to work is power-cycling the computer!
This is a real convenience bummer of course. Anyone else have a similar problem? The D-Link guy on the phone asked "What version of Windows are you using" and when I said "Mac OS 10.3" he said "ohhh it says right here it only supports Mac OS 10.1." I assume it's just a matter of them not updating their documentation since new versions of X came out, right?
Incidentally, the same thing happens with Jaguar. I was really hoping Panther would fix the problem, but now I don't know if it's the OS, the computer, or the hub!
