12" PB and external monitor questions

	When I connect my Viewsonic 19" CRT to my revB 12" PB, the only available mode is listed as 800x600 at 60 hz refresh. In comparison, when I connect an antiquated 15" CRT, i get a full list of resolutions/refresh rates. What could be the problem? Also, when mirroring displays, what is the refresh rate on the external monitor? Is it the same as the laptop's LCD (which I assume is something like 60 hz)?
