Hi all. Has anyone had a chance to compare the new 14 inch and 12 inch screens? Just wondering if this issue of 14-inch "fuzziness" is true or just nitpicking by people with very good vision. Also, in general, are you new iBook owners happy with your purchase? Any major problems yet? Thanks for the info. This site is great and really helping to inform me about my upcoming first Mac purchase.

I just bought a 12" iBook and am very happy with it. I was able to look at both screens in the store and I think the issue is not that the 14" is fuzzier than the 12" but that the 12" is sharper than the 14". My 12" screen is very nice looking and I wouldn't trade it for a 14" even with the speed boost.

I am very pleased with my 12" iBook. I got a chance to compare the 12" G4 iBook and the 14" G3 iBook at the Apple store, and physical size wise, I prefer the 12". It took some getting used to for me because I was coming from a 15" screen, but the 12" is really plenty big.
iBook G4: 800mhz, 640mb, 40gb ("Astrid")
iPod: 30gb Photo ("Gordon"), 1gb Shuffle ("Tinker Bell")
For the record: I am female
