This is my first apple purchase ever. I love working on them and I've been pumped since the day I ordered my 15" PB on Oct 11TH. The ship date was listed as Nov, 4TH. I can't deny I wasn't a little upset over the long wait time but I figured Nov 4TH would get here in no time.

Well it's noW Nov 4TH and Apple has graciously informed me, on the day it was supposed to ship, that my PB has in fact been delayed until November 28TH.

I'm sorry, but this is unbelievable. As a first time Apple buyer this isn't leaving a good taste in my mouth. I can't imagine how many first time switchers have probably switched back before even recieving their computers because of the unbelievably long wait time.

I know there's a ton of posts about delays..but I just needed to vent. Figured this could be an official "vent" post.

I'm also a switcher - I ordered my 15" on Oct. 30th, and it's scheduled to ship three days before Christmas (12/22), when I'll most likely be out of town. It does irritate me, but if it means I don't have to lose it later while waiting for it to get serviced, I guess it's worth it. I really, really hope that Apple is sorting out its production problems and the PB I get is _flawless_.

Anyhow, here I was feeling sorry for myself, but I guess it could be worse: I could be expecting to get it today, and then find out it's not coming until the end of the month like you.

Here's to hoping Apple surprises us by shipping a lot earlier than expected!

I too hope they fix any problems...more for them. Because if I've waited all this time and get a 15" PB with white spots, latch problems and anything else I'll be pretty mad

But like you said, any bright side to this might be that their actually fixing any of those problems.
