I had 1 dead and 1 intermittently funny pixel, but the reason it went back was because the top left of the screen 'rippled' when the screen was moved. Just got it back, and the ripple has gone, and the screen now has no problem pixels, so I'm really happy about that. BUT... along the lower edge a couple of areas are slightly dimmer than the rest of the screen.

I can live with it but should I?

Dim spots on the bottom LCD edge (usually near the corners) have always been on every laptop I've used, PC or Mac...it's normal.

In which case then I'm happy as I have no ripple and a perfect LCD panel.

Just noticed the screen casing isn't put together very well so I'm not so happy now. Lid is quite bent in fact but I guess that's not unusual for these aluminium PBs. Oh well.
