My superdrive seems to recognize DVDs intermittently. If I get it to recognize one, it will recognize a bunch in a row and work fine. BUT if I let it sit for a while it starts having trouble again. Also, if I open DVD player first and then insert the DVD, it seems to work a lot better. One DVD in particular, Young Frankenstein, makes the superdrive go crazy.

For reference, the DVDs I am trying to play are Indiana Jones and Family guy season 3.

Anyone have this sort of problem? Once recognized, everything works fine. Is this a panther issue perhaps? I got my powerbook back in September, but I don't think I actually tried any DVDs until after I installed panther.
