So I ordered my PB on 9/26/03 and it was set to ship on 10/03/03. Well problems arised and it got pushed back to 10/31/03. That has come and gone and then it went to 12/23/03. Now today I phoned in and cancelled and got the 4200 RPM drive (the 5400 was the 6-7 week delay), but with the 4200 alone, was a 2-3 week wait. So I upgraded to 512 MB ram instead of 2x256. I get 32 dollars back in all from downgrading the drive, but I plan on selling it within the next year for a G5 PB so I think I won't really worry about it. The shipping time is now 10-15 days as estimated on 12/01/03.

Is the 512 MB worth it? I dont know much about RAM on apple's.. but I know there is only 2 slots which would only let me upgrade to 768 max if I had the 256x2 still and put in a 512..

10-15 bus. days to build still seems like a long time. iBooks are only 1-3.
