from a backlit keyboard, one of my keys is sticking I think and I want to do a little investigating. Has anyone been succesful with this? If so whats the correct procedure so I dont break one of my keys. Any input would be appreciated.

I also have a key (Q) which sounds a bit different than the others once pressed. Just as if it had a bit of glue underneith it which sticks 0.3secs once pressed.

I read somewhere you should use a flat thing and stick it under the left side of the key. Then just gently lift up and the key would pop off. I haven't dared doing that though.

There's nothing special about the left side of the key -- in fact, you want to just lift straight up without rocking. (If you do rock, make sure you're rocking against the direction of the scissor mechanism -- left-right rocking for normal keys, up-down rocking for the function key row and arrow keys. But I recommend not rocking.)
