I need new hinges for a 867 MHz PowerBook. I know pbparts.com has them for $200 EACH. I'm looking for ones cheaper than that, or even if I can get an entire screen module that is dead, and I can pull the hinges off of it myself. $400 for parts is just too much though. Someone must sell them cheaper, right?

PowerbookMedic.com has them for $249 a SET. Bradley is exceptionally helpful.

Thats actually a really good price, but I was able to find a broken LCD destine for the trash, for an even better price. Now all I need to know is, what kind of glue do you need to reassemble the screen together? From what I hear you have to pull the screen apart from its frame which is glued in. I wanna make sure I use the right stuff. :-)

He also sells take-apart manuals for Ti books, might be worth it.

I already have all the manuals, but yes, if you didn't, it would be handy. Though I can't imagine that it is both legal, AND permitted by Apple, for someone to sell these apple manuals to the "common folk".
