After clean instal of Panther, about once a day I am geting the folowing text that appears on the screen:

Entering system dump routine
A panic server was not specified in the boot-args, terminating kernel core dump
ethernet MAC address: 00:00:00:00:00:00
I.P. adress:0.0.0.0
Waiting for remote debugger conection.

I must then power off, then back on.

Not a kernel panic AFAIK, but something is definitely wrong. It shouldn't do that; my iBook can stay up for a week or more.
Trainiable is to cat as ability to live without food is to human.

I got that message when I had a bad RAM module installed in my iBook. I've heard rumors that RAM that worked on 10.2.8 sometimes doesn't work on 10.3. Might be worth investigating.

Yes bad RAM! It happened on my new PowerBook G4 15 inch until I replaced the memory to other brand. Panther is very picky about memory.

Any time it says "waiting for remote debugger connection" that's a panic.

If it feeds text in 10.2 or higher it's almost always a RAM or CPU problem.

good luck!
