My iBook G3700 running 10.2.8 has had a problem since about day 2 with accepting my password.

Initial login when booting up is fine; it likes and accepts my password.

Upon opening Eudora and doing the first check for mail, it asks to "unlock keychain" and "please enter your keychain password or phrase."

I do this and go through two iterations of enter, sorry wrong password, okay, re-enter, etc. for 4 times until it says I've exhausted the tries this time. So then I go through the password, okay it's not accepted, 4 times again and viola, I'm in Eudora's mail check!

This also happens with Safari, Explorer and Netscape. Any ideas why?

I changed my password in hopes of getting out of this; I don't have to login at the startup but still have this trouble at first use of any of the internet stuff.

Try running Keychain First Aid. It's in your /Applications/Utilities folder.

Thanks for the repsonse, but: All there is in that place is "Keychain Access." I opened that and checked all the menu items, can't find Keychain First Aid.
