I've gotten an iBook G3 800. The previous owner dropped it and the sound and ethernet ports were broken. I assume I have the following options to provide for networking:

1- Airport 802.11b. I wonder if there is an internal 802.11g card available. I can get a PC Card for the g standard, but I'd rather internal.

2- Sending the laptop out for repair (don't wanna spend the $$$)

3- Get a USB to Ethernet adaptor.

Options 3 seems to be the most viable. Can anyone recommend a USB to Etherent adaptor for OS X? Ideally Panther support.

The only card that will work internally is Apple's AirPort card. While it resembles a PC card, there's some proprietary stuff in there that prevents a normal PC card from working.

So I'd have to say option 3 is the most viable but I don't know of any adaptors that work with the mac off the top of my head. Good luck.
