i've bought the 17" pb a few months ago, and since then my exprience with DVD burning with the superdrive is less then satisfying.
2 out of every 3 DVDs or so, do not pass verification, and i get a message that block ######### (some many digits number) could not be read and verification fails. after that the DVD will mount but some files won't be able to be opened and will cause the finder to hang.
needless to say, that way the superdrive is more a curse than a blessing.
i've tried to use toast titanium and the built in disk burner with more or less the same results. i'm using Jaguar 10.2.6.

does any body else have the same experience with DVD burning ? or is it just me ?

What media?

Cheap media sucks. Apple media OTOH works great on my TiBook SD.

No such problems here. I use cheap DVD`s-but they work just fine. Only thing that I don`t like is burning DVD`s from the finder-takes forever!
Copying the files from the finder to the drive takes one hour or more-and burning takes another hour.
