track pad not responsive upon waking from sleep!

my track pad acts really weird as soon as I power the 15 inch from sleep mode. The cursor keeps sliding from left to write, and or jumps around the screen. After about a minute of this, it stops and works fine!
do I have a faulty track pad?

I have the ignore accidental input turned on in the preferences....
