I've been waiting and waiting on the various resellers to ship 17" models with Panther preinstalled but they all only will ship with Jaguar. Whats up with that?

Where did you order from? I am waiting for Panther pre-installed as well before I order my 17". I am currently thinking of ordering from Amazon.

i ordered from macwarehouse, which is now cdw. however, they just ordered it from apple, because it was a build to order, and when it arrived at their warehouse simply put it on another truck and shipped it to me.

apple recently added panther to the whole line...resellers might take a while, as they must sell the ones with jag.

Yup..they are selling with Panther, but I'm looking to purchase from a reseller..not from Apple direct to save the sales tax to buy an ipod as a gift for my nephew.

So..I wait... just checked Macwarehouse...still shipping 10.2 on 17's.. ugh.

If anyone has purchased a 17" from a REseller and it came with Panther please let me know..thanks!

waiting...

I purchsed my 17" Powerbook from an Apple Retail Store the day after Panther was released. Jaguar was preinstalled but Panther discs were included in the box.
I just did a clean install of Panther on first bootup.
