two questions:

1] is datamem reliable? i wanted to stick with apple or crucial because they 'seem' to have the best quality or service -- any other reputable vendors?

2] i need a vendor that will accept purchase order numbers (PO numbers) -- not just credit cards ... any ideas? i know apple does, and i think crucial has worked with us in the past.

what a disappointment. i figured they would be high to start with, but $800!? i'm tempted to just get a $120 512MB stick from crucial now ...

I don't know first hand, but people report that the sticks work from datamem.

At this point I don't feel it's worth the money for the 1gig sticks, I'm just inclined to buy a 512 myself.

The problem is I wouldn't spend 600$ for a 1 gig dim.
I would probably just end up buying the 512 dim from crucial, and hope it holds me over till maybe summer time when the prices come down. Hopefully.

Kingston do 1gb SODIMM PC2100 sticks as well but for $593 (off their site).
Curiously enough a UK reseller has the same sticks in stock for £673 (~$1000)

I went with Crucial and got a 512mb stick for £85 delivered (~$130).
