i recentl purchased a 12" ibook g4 and everything was going fine. Then one day i goto shut it down, it exits osx, and then goes to a blue screen with the little spinning animation, but that is where it stays, i went out for like 10 mins and came back to find it still doing it. The only way to turn it off now is to pull out the battery. Has this been seen before? any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried holding down the power button for an extended period of time? When my machine gets out of line this 'hard' shutdown seems to do the trick. Not pretty, but works.

Why are you shutting down your machine? My laptop has been on for about 17.99 months out of the last 18. Sleep is fine. The only time I restart is for installs.
