On 13 November I phoned the Apple Store free phone number in Belgium to order a 12" PB. I got an e-mail confirmation which simply said they had got my order, no details. I phoned again to find out how I should pay. Fine. I paid.

A week passes... I phone, ask what the problem is, and can I have confirmation of my payment please. They said "relax it takes time to process the order..."

Last night I get an e-mail saying "we're really sorry about the delay, we're low in stock, it could take a while."

This morning (Saturday) I get an e-mail saying my PB has been shipped - to an address in France!! WTF???

I try phoning, of course they're not working on a Saturday. So I send a fax. Some guy is in the office and sees my fax, phones me straight back.

"I'm really sorry, my colleague screwed up, he registered your order as coming from France, not Belgium. I don't know why. Now logistics have sent your order to France, there's nothing we can do. Eventually it'll get sent back to head office in Dublin and we'll refund your money. Then you'll have to start all over again."

This is REALLY REALLY CR@PPY treatment and I am really in two minds about re-ordering if and when I finally get my money back.

Let me just add here (I'm on a roll) that, OK, people make mistakes. This sales guy thought I was in France although I had given him a number in Belgium, an address in Belgium, paid through a Belgian account, phoned via the Belgian number... OK, mistakes are made.

But surely Apple should have written/e-mailed me to confirm my order details?? If they had simply dropped me an e-mail with all the details before they shipped the damn thing, this could have been avoided!

I am really furious right now.
