My hinge just blew out ugly...what do you think is the best way to deal with this. I have applecare.

Take it back to the store or deal with on the phone?

You might try the store and see if they have a faster turnaround than just calling apple and sending it out. Either way Applecare covers it.

Taking it to an Apple Store really won't help too much in the sense that they too will just ship it off for repairs. I think all Powerbooks are being repaired in Houston. Just do a search on hinge in this forum and see what others have done.
