I got a spare battery for my PowerBook (as below) and need to put it into my computer briefcase, but it only goes in somewhat loose. Does anyone have a case or protector for the spare? I don't want stuff to scratch it all up, or more importantly get stuck into the connector. Any thoughts?

I haven't heard of a battery bag, but, there might be a PDA case that would fit it.

Yeah, that might do the trick. I know that my PowerBook G3 (M3553 - Kanga) came with covers for the batteries, so I figured that someone might have done the same for the Ti, esp with the incredible number of sales of the product. However, the Ti's batteries' contacts would less likely be hit because of the design.

Go to a good camping store and buy some climbers chalk bags. They work great for optics, batteries and any other ditties you might have. I have like 10 of them for this and that. They are inexpensive, well made, padded, light weight and last forever.

This is very insightful, thanks, I'll have to find some and try it out!

yes, climbers call them chalk bags becasue they hang from the harness and are filled with chalk for the fingertips - to get a better grip. I don't climb much any more but I still use the bags for all kinds of things. They are so durable that I have had a few of them for almost 20 years! I kid you not. I have never paid more than $15 and most are under $10. They come in bright colors. I am always looking for them and I must have a dozon or so. If someone admires one - I give it to them!

Awesome. I'm sure that I'd admire several, have any pics? Seriously though, I might buy one off you if you have one you don't use that might be the right size.

perform a google image search on "chalk bag" and you will get some nice picts. I wouldn't sell one of these - I'd give you one but my guess is that you are not around the area!
