I'm thinking of getting Panther before the end of the year, so I'm not sure this even matters. But just in case there's a delay, is it safe to install 10.2.8 now on PowerBooks?

I have the last of the Tis (15", 1GHz, Superdrive, 10.2.6). I believe they've updated 10.2.8 two or three times now, is that right? Is all the flaky behavior gone (if I'm remembering correctly, decreased battery life, funky networking/ethernet and more)?

I haven't seen anything for some time regarding bugs so I'm wondering what the deal-io is.

Thanks.

It is safe to install.

Make sure you get the latest version of 10.2.8, it was pulled and then released again.

Might also like to get the combo version as people seem to have better results with this sometimes. Plus it also makes it easier if you are rebuilding your system, you only have one update to apply, etc.

I had no problem updating to 10.2.8 before I went to Panther. As far as I know it should be safe to do so.
