Ok getting '17 and was gonna get the 5400 rpm drive, but the apple store says 2-3 week wait for the BTO machine, is it worth the wait or should i just drive to NH Apple Store (a hour or so) and get a stock machine with 4200 drive. That was all I was getting BTO was the faster drive. I'll put my own ram in. I do 3D work, Gaming, web and print and a little video editing. Never had a 4200 drive, what would you do?

I think you are going to notice a difference with a faster RPM drive. With video editing, the shuttling back and forth through a clip is going to be smoother on a faster drive. If you think you are giong to need it, you should probably get it!

I went with the 5400RPM drive. I hate to wait, but I really felt that it was worth it. I also didn't want to void my warranty to install a Hitachi 7200RPM drive which I knew I'd end up doing if I went stock.
