Why doesn't Apple list our PB Superdrives as DVD-RW capable, when they clearly are?

I've been burning, erasing, and rewriting on my new 12" PBs superdrive for a few weeks now with no problems. Why doesn't apple advertise this feature? I love it because I can store my entire iTunes library on six DVDs and erase and update the disks as I add music to my library. I've been using Leda DVD-RW with no problems ($50.00 for 50 disks, quite a deal considering apple charges $3.00 each for a non-rewritable DVD-R). Also my home DVD player is DVD-RW capable so I can watch copied DVDs and erase them if I don't need them anymore.

I'm not sure about this particular feature. However, in the past Apple has not admitted that some features of the Superdrive worked. Basically, if they don't claim that some feature worked then they don't have to support it going forward.

I've used DVD-RW on my Fp iMac Rev.a and on my 15" AL PB without a problem. It works with backup and disk utility.

The first PB SuperDrives do not support DVD-RW (unless you use a firmware hack, and then again the hack doesn't always work). iDVD doesn't support DVD-RW either. Well it does sorta, but not fully.
