ok...i thought i had this figured out.

i want to transfer my data files from my iBook to my new 12" PB.

i can't get it to work!

here's what i am doing:

1. both laptops off.
2. connect firewire to each other.
3. startup PB - regular way.
4. startup iBook while holding down "T"

well iBook has the dancing Firewire logo, but the PB doesn't show any recognition of the iBook's hard drive.

do i reverse step 3 and 4 ?

Try steps 1, 3, 4, and then 2.
