I am going to my girlfriends house this weekend for thanksgiving from university and I need to use the internet there. They have DSL through verizon in the seattle area. The way they have it set up in their house, so it wouldn't have had to be wired with ethernet, is that all the internet connections come out of the phone jacks and then go into this USB dongle device. Then the USB plugs into the usb ports of their PC's and that is how they access the internet. Is there anyway to do this with the powerbook? Does verizon offer Mac drivers for this maybe? I have never heard of doing this except at her house so I could really use some help. Thank you.

If there are drivers for the USB modem for Mac, then yes. Otherwise, no. Anyway stay away of USB modems !!! They are the work of the devil.

Ok, it's not like I chose the way they do it, it is just how they did it. I am not just going to waltz into their house and proclaim the way they have their internet set up is from the devil and they need to change it.

If these drivers were available, do you know where I could find them?
