So now that I've crossed over into the mac world, I suppose it's time to ditch my (brand new I might add) Motorola T730 phone from Verizon. It looks and feels like a toy. Its industrial designers make throw-away portable games on the side I think. You can't turn it on or off without it making some childish noise, the menus look like crap, and oh yeah - welcome to the 21st century Verizon - it still doesn't have bluetooth.

So I started looking at the Sony-Ericcson T610 (T-Mobile) and T616 (AT&T). It seems to be much more stylish, minimalist, and clean. And oh yeah - it can talk to my PowerBook and Palm with bluetooth.

I've read some mixed reviews though. People say the GSM network is still shoddy, and that this particular model phone gets worse reception than the rest. Can any of you back that up or refute it? It seems sort of silly to buy a phone that is everything I want except a good phone (lol). Additionally, which carrier would you go with? The T616 is supposedly a little better with reception...?

Thanks! If I get some good replies today I might brave the holiday shoppers at the mall and pick it up!

I have tmobile right now, if the coverage was decent I would stay with them and get the T610, however the coverage is very poor here in washington dc, so probably switching to att here next month, I know their coverage is very good.
