And I am a very happy camper...got an iBook 12"

Whilst I am perfectly happy with a PC with XP for my desktop and gaming, for a laptop I wanted a computer as close to the tidiness and useability of a consumer electronics device, and the Mac completely owns my old Dell...

Everything is so nicely engineered on te iBook - tidier much less bloated, much more elegant OS (I love the simplicity of installing Apps on OSX), lighter weight, sturdier case, much less heat, smaller, about 4 times the battery life, much more stable and well integrated sleep/hibernation, significantly cheaper price, far superior keyboard, much more stable and robust wireless...the list goes on and on...

The only thing I lost was a built in S-Video port, which I miss for movie watching on my TV but I guess I can just buy one of those add-on cables. Its the only not so elegant element I've experienced with this so far...

Oh and I can't play Diablo 2 without installing Classic OS, I'll have to find something else that's laptop & travel friendly to play

I don't understand why Apple doesn't include the video out cable with the iBook. They have no problem handing it all over with the Powerbook.

More importantly! Diablo 2 exists for MacOS X. You might check versiontracker.com for an update.

I have the OSX patches, but apparently there is no OSX installer, so you need the data installed under Classic before you patch it. Hopefully they'll release an installer too, but its an old game now.

I myself just recently switched from a Dell Inspiron 2650 to a 12" iBook G4. Needless to say, I like the iBook much better.
iBook G4: 800mhz, 640mb, 40gb ("Astrid")
iPod: 30gb Photo ("Gordon"), 1gb Shuffle ("Tinker Bell")
For the record: I am female
