Podium, CoolPad, Traveller, etc. all look rather, how should I say ... cheap?

Koolsink looks "elegant," if overpriced:

Osamu, although for a 12", is the best I've seen, with the usual Japanese meticulousness:

Has anyone else stumbled across this? Unfortunately, if Osamu's last name is Bin Laden, I'm not sure I'd trust it ...

P.S. The reason I keep bringing this up ... my machine sometimes gets REALLY HOT (how's that for scientific preciseness?) ... even when it's not on my lap.

Theory is that elevating it will not only dissipate the heat more readily, but also afford a more comfortable typing angle.

I have the Targus Podium and while I would have liked a more "elegant" solution, it works really well. I was put off by the lego system of risers, but I have to say that it is rock solid, keeps the Powerbook cool and even swivels. It is perfect for my desk at the office. In fact, you really can't even see it's there. The fact that it's adjustable and available made it the obvious choice for me.

May not be the kind of stand you're after, though.
