I just wanted to let everyone know I received my replacement machine today from Apple. I sent it in on Monday, Dec 1 and received a brand new replacement Tues, Dec 9. My last machine was ordered end Aug/beginning Nov and suffered from white spots, mushy keyboard, bent corner, a stuck pixed, and a loose trackpad button.
I'm happy to report that Apple seems to have addressed all these issues with the new 15". The entire machine feels more sturdy, the keyboard feels more tactile, the trackpad button is definitely more tactile, and there are no white spots or stuck pixels. At the moment I am 110% satisfied with build quality and the speed at which Apple sent me a new machine.
I'd also like to mention Apple preplaced the order, emailed me the return labels for my old machine, and released the order for production the same day they could FedEx was given the return machine. This made the wait very short. Thanks Apple and thanks Dennis Wallace and the many others who set up the entire return process and were very helpful and understanding.
