I've got to deal with a fair bit of sand during my day, so I'm going to get one of these keyboard covers. Is there any particular way I should get crud out from under the keys before I affix the cover? It doesn't come off like the Pismo keyboard does, and heat doesn't conduct through it much (if it did, I'd hesitate getting the cover). I imagine taking the thing apart would kill my warranty.
Actual conversation between UCLA and Stanford during a login on early Internet - U: I'm going to type an L! Did you get an L? S: I got one-one-four. L! U:Did you get the O? S: One-one-seven. U: <types G> S: The computer just crashed.

I would start by lightly spraying it out with a can of air, or just from the hose of an air compressor if you have one. Then to be sure, you could always take a little vacuum to it.

You may want to put some tape over your speakers if you spray it out so the dust doesn't transfer there.
