Wow, the reason I didn't like the original iBook was because of all the wasted space, this seems even worse, and they don't even give you a close-up.

Well using my trusty conversion feture on my calculator that comes with OS X I get $349,239. Quite a chunk of change, especialy for only 512MB Ram

One Euro is worth $1,2274 .The Dollar is weakening against the Euro at the moment. Blame Bush.

The price was given on a Dutch computer website, called www.tweakers.net .

Blame Bush? You should thank Bush. The weakening dollar has helped our domestic businesses compete with forriegn firms

I think there is some confusion as to the price conversion. Alot of Europeans write a comma instead of a period (that Americans would write), thus writing $1,200 would be $1.200 using American conventions.

Well considerioing that the original was 285.000 in euros then the american conversion would be 285,000, or two-hundred eighty five thousand

A terrible rendition of the original! It must weight a ton too... from the looks of it.

This sucker is expensive because...
Tulip E-Go notebook inlaid with solid palladium white gold plates in which thousands of brilliant cut diamonds have been set. The quality is V.V.S. top-Wesselton and the total weight is 80.00 Crt.

The brilliant cut diamonds are microscopic and pave set with surgical precision. This magnificent end result is possible thanks to the use of brilliant cut diamonds with a large variety of diameters.

A unique square cut ruby has been set in both Tulip logos.

I am not sure that 80 carets worth of diamonds or the solid palladium makes it worth it. I suspect this is an FAO Schwartz kind of item...

Considering how many laptops are stolen and plain forgotten at airport security, this may be a painfully expensive purchase.
