I am on the verge of buying a new PB in the next 6-months, but my current machine is starting to wear on my performance wise. Don't want to spend the $100 on adding more RAM, if it's not going to make me happier and better looking to women.

I run lots of applications at one-time, and I'm thinking my 512MB of RAM is just not getting it done anymore. I'm just looking for some subjective opinions on whether or not the added 512MB will likely make me measurably happier until I get the new machine.

Typically, I like to have the following open all at once:

Word, Transmit, iTunes, Virtual Desktop, Konfabulator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, iData Pro, iCal, SubEthaEdit, Mail, Safari (5-10 tabs), iChat, and LaunchBar.

I'm thinking the extra 512MB would really give the old laptop a kick in the pants. Any thoughts?
