Ok, I've a first gen iBook that has a blown speaker, fried ethernet and bad battery. So what am I going to do? Rebuild of course, but not just a rebuild, but a retro custom, here's the old:

300MHZ
96M
3.2G
CD Rom

New:
366MHZ First gen graphite board
256M
10G
CD-RW

Hmmmm, only thing I'm unsure of is the HD size, its fine if I stay with 9, but would this be able to do X? Also, I've found one source for the CD burner, but its not exactly aesthetically pleasing, does anyone know of any better?

56mb of RAM? You can forget OS X, I would recommend a lot more RAM....

edit- I bet it's a typo, did you mean 256mb?

Hmmmm, might need a new keyboard too, since the 2 key obviously didn't work. That should have been 256M, but you knew that, right? After all, why would I go backwards on memory?
