Possible in classic or not? or is it only possible under 10.1 or .2 where an OS9 boot is possible

i had the impression that classic applications couldn't touch hardware. you might be able to use the firmware with a native application though (if you can find or code such a thing).

What?

OS 9 boot capability is dependent upon the machine. It either can or it can't.

Being able to boot into OS 9 has NOTHING to do with 10.1 vs. 10.2 vs. 10.3.

Firmware updaters will not work from within Classic, so if your region-free patch only comes with an OS 9 installer, you need to boot into OS 9 to run it.
