iBook G4: 4 x USB?

I've had to send my iBook G4 (933 mhz) in for repairs already, so I do admit that I am a bit anal at this point. The problem is this: in System Profiler, 4 USB ports show up, only one of which being 'high-speed bus'. If I plug in more than one USB device, they actually go on a bus with the same product id ($8005). These are USB 1 devices, but they go in the two physical ports that are (or should be) USB 2.0 ports.
A screenshot:
Is this normal? Will plugging in two USB 2.0 work (I don't have any to test right now)? Maybe more pertinent: can anyone with an iBook G4 check if they see the same in System Profiler?

i think system profiler is trying to tell you that you have two USB 1.1 devices plugged in (and no USB 2.0 devices). if you were to plug two USB 2.0 devices, they would be listed on the USB 2.0 bus and there would be nothing listed on the USB bus.

But still: three USB 1 ports and one USB 2 port. That can't be entirely right, can it? Another screenshot without devices plugged in:

what does it show if you boot the machine without any USB devices plugged in? the ports might remain as USB 1.1 until you actually plug in a USB 2.0 device. it's most likely just system profiler showing you the right information in a very poor way.

This behavior is the same on all the USB 2.0 Macs (new Powerbooks, iBooks, iMacs and G5s).
The iBook has a USB "port" for the internal modem, a "port" for the internal bluetooth, a USB 1.1 "port" and a USB 2.0 "port."
These "ports" are not physical ports perse; the USB chipset Apple uses can reassign devices on either physical USB connector to any internal interface port.
So, on the iBook G4s, 4 ports is correct.
